The house was designed to have 2 levels on the ground floor. An entry level to have just the visitors hall and the 2nd level to have the other facilities needed for the family and it's guests.
The common spaces on the ground and first floors were designed as one, large volume to manage the thermal comfort inside without the use of any air conditioning systems. The levels of privacy / connectivity needed for these spaces were obtained either by staggering or providing a free standing wall. Visual connectivity from various spaces inside helps the house function as a single space at the same time ensuring the privacy needed.
One narrow double floor high landscaped court, adjoining the family space acts not only as a visual treat but also helps in ventilating all the common spaces. The wind vent provided along with a glazed roof nearby enhances the ventury effect and ensures ventilation in a volume devoid of the conventional windows.
Taking advantage of the weather which has only about a month when temperature rises high, adequate natural light and ventilation was provided in the higher levels and the roof with windows at the normal cill height only in the bedrooms and places which needed regular opening and closing.
Perforated and CNC cut metal sheets provide security and insect proof opening where ever necessary. The play of light and shadow also enlivens the plain walls, consciously provided.
From initial concept to final detail, we ensure your vision transforms into a masterpiece that stands as a landmark.
